Christina Haack was conceived in Anaheim, California. Her first job following school was that of a real estate agent. This is where she made friends with Tarek. They had a great time in the years prior to 2008 when the market collapsed and many house flippers and real estate investors went bankrupt. As a result of the crash Tarek and Christina El Moussa almost lost all their assets. Their house was valued at $700 per week, compared to the $6,000 they were spending per month on their home. They slowly rebuilt their company as well as the economy. HGTV and Rise to Fame Tarek asked an acquaintance to create a HGTV video audition in the year 2011 featuring the duo of him along with Christina flipping over a house. Pie Town Productions executive received the tape. The execs were in love with Tarek as well as Christina. They signed a formal agreement with HGTV. Flip of Flop was launched in April of 2013. From 2013 to 2017, 92 episodes were aired over seven seasons. Christina and Tarek, who appeared in the series, would purchase homes, typically moderate-income houses in Orange County.
