Jana Kramer became famous on television, where she played Alex in One Tree Hill's final three years. Kramer was in numerous episodes as a brand new country music artist. This helped her debut album reach the Billboard 200 Top 20. Thirty One, her follow-up album, released in 2015, climbed into the Top Ten. Over the past decade, she appeared in Dancing with the Stars as also in television movies as well as several TV shows. The singer also released a few singles that did not appear on albums. In 2021, her self-doubting album Voices was released. Jana Rae Kramer, born in Rochester Hills Michigan and raised in the area, discovered her love for the music of country. Then she decided to pursue a record career. Her first professional role was as an actress in the film Dead/Undead in 2002, when she was still a teenager. Her appearances were in guest spots on All My Children, CSI: NY and Friday Night Lights during the second season of the series 2007-2008. Kramer appeared in the role of Portia Ranson on 90210 from 2008 to 2009 and Brooke Manning on Entourage 2009 prior to joining the ensemble of the show on the CW's One Tree Hill as Alex Dupre in the year 2009, where she stayed until partway through the series' final season in 2012. The song was later featured as a track on Jana Kramer, her debut album, which was released in 2012. Billboard Top Country Albums ranked it in the Top Five. She remained focused on her career in music following that, and not resigning from acting she appeared in films such as Heart of the Country 2013 and Country Crush 2016 that would be popular with her fan base. Kramer's second album, Thirty One came out on Warner Music Nashville by Kramer in October of the year 2015. With help from the Top Five country hit I Got the Boy and an duet with Steven Tyler of Aerosmith it was even more successful, achieving number three on country's albums chart, and tenth on the Billboard 200. The month of September 2016 saw her time on the 23rd season of Dancing with the Stars lasted two months before ending with a 4th-place finish. The same year, she made a splash with an adult contemporary hit song called Straight No Chaser's Feels like Christmas.
