AlexAlexandra Morgan Carrasco (American professional soccer player) plays as striker. She also is captain of San Diego Wave FC of National Women's Soccer League, the top division for women's soccer in United States. From 2018 to 2020, she co-captained the women's soccer national team with Megan Rapinoe. [8][9The 8-year-old Morgan was drafted by Western New York Flash at number one in the 2011 WPS Draft. She had completed her studies at Berkeley in the early years. Morgan also played for California Golden Bears. Morgan made her debut as a professional at the time and played a major role in the team's win of the league title. Morgan was just 22 at the time, and was the youngest player on the national team at the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011. The team finished second. At the 2012 London Olympics, she scored the match-winning goal in the 123rd minute of the semi-final clash against Canada. She ended 2012 with 21 goals and 28 assists and Mia Hamm was the only American woman to score 20 and 20 goals. It made her the 6th-youngest U.S. player ever to hit 20 goals in a season. Following her selection as the U.S. Soccer Female Player of the year Morgan was also an FIFA World Player of the Award finalist. Morgan also assisted in helping the United States win their titles at the 2015 as well as the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cups, where she was named to the Dream Team for both tournaments, while she won the Silver Boot in 2019.
