Linda Edna Cardellini (n e Lorraine (Hernan), is the mother of Wayne David Cardellini (a successful businessman). She comes from Italian, German (from the paternal grandmother), Irish and Scottish descendance. Linda was born in the San Francisco Bay region, California as the youngest of her four brothers. Acting became her passion as a ten year old as she performed as a vocalist in an annual school Christmas performance. Her next stage was performing at school and community stage productions. She was trained in acting in the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London and began her career with the British TV show Just William (2010). Her breakthrough came in 2015 when she played the leading role in Cinderella, a fantasy film. Her previous roles included Lady Rose MacClare as part of the period series Downton Abbey. James then portrayed the role of Countess Natasha Rostova as part of the television adaption of War & Peace (2016). James also appeared in several films, like Baby Driver (2017) and The Dig -2021. We're Going To Again (2019) as well as Yesterday (2018). Pam & Tommy, a biographical TV series that is based on the life of Pamela Anderson (released in 2022) has earned her nominations for Golden Globe Award winner and a Primetime Emmy Award.
